Pastor Quin Is the New State Missionary for Wyoming Southern Baptists
On September 14, the Executive Board of Wyoming Southern Baptists asked me to become their State Missionary. Strongly sensing God’s leadership in this direction, I have accepted this call.
On Sunday, September 16, I shared this with the congregation that had gathered for worship and announced my resignation as Pastor of our church. The transition will not begin until November 1 and will take several weeks to complete.
Until the transition is complete, I will remain pastor, although my time here will begin to diminish. A Pastor Search Committee is being formed to begin the search for my replacement.
I cannot express the joy and honor that it has been to be the pastor of this great church for these past 22+ years. Beyond my relationship with Christ and the development of my family, you, the people of Boyd Avenue, are the most precious personal memories that I have ever or will ever possess. It is with great sadness that I step away from being your pastor.
It is with faith I look forward to what the Father has for Beth and me. All I can say here in this limited space is: “Lord, thank you for giving me these wonderful years with these wonderful people.” And, “Thank you, Boyd Avenue for being you.”
